We made reservations for 3 nights, then forest fires broke out throughout the Glacier area. The smoke and fires closed the entire west side of Glacier NP. I kept up to date on tripadvisor forum for GNP smoke conditions. It was too smokey in the area of these cabins and had to cancel 2 days before arrival. The owners did not refund any of my full payment. I think there is a reasonable expectation that I can breath where I stay, since I have asthma. I explained this to them and they could care less. They offered me a cabin on the East side of Glacier, but I already had to cancel my flight reservations, since it was 3X more than cabin rental. BTW, the East side of Glacier was under smoke also. They claim that they were not affected by smoke, but ALL the cabins were vacant (cancelled) during this period of forest fires. They are very money hungry, and do not care about their tenants. Beware of this place, you will probably get screwed in the end.
Awesome place to get away. Very clean and unique. Home away from home. Great rates.. I will recommend to friends and will try to go back on a regular basis. Already planning a trip this winter for a snowmobiling getaway. New owners and doing an awesome job. Even satellite TV tho I don't watch it. I'd rather be outside looking at the view watching nature and the hummingbirds.
What differentiates one rental cabin from another in this area isn't just how clean they are, how nice the bedding is, or how close they are to the Park. For me, it is personality of the owners (fun loving), the beauty on the grounds (gardens galore) and proximity to nearby culture. Gary and Jo-Ann epitomize 'Pride in America' and taking care of their guests, and in our book, that is priceless and worth every cent.
This place is fabulous, perfect. What a great find, you have to stay here to experience it.
