Meh. What you'd expect from a better hotel at twice the price for the location. Twenty miles away in Whitefish you can stay at the Firebrand--gorgeous, new hotel with a wine and beer bar, as well as a lounge that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cedar Creek does offer a free breakfast, much like you'd find at Ho-Jo.
New (built 2016) place, so everything looks pretty fresh. The place is small, which is great because if you're vacationing in Montana, you're probably looking for a little peace and quiet. Rooms are standard, and there is a small indoor pool and hot tub, which is almost never busy and is amazing for unwinding after a long day of hiking. They always have hot chocolate, tea, and fresh coffee available in the lobby, as well as cookies. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only about 15 minutes from the entrance of West Glacier National Park. Would stay here again, would recommend to a friend
From the moment we walked into this lovely new hotel, we were treated like royalty. Patty at the front desk was amazing!! So friendly, pleasant, and accommodating with our request to make an adjustment to our room location. Patty, you are the shining example of how guests ought to be greeted and helped when they check in--thank you so much!! We were also wowed by Rachelle in the breakfast area--she couldn't have been more friendly! She kept the hot foods replenished, and, in spite of the busy duties of feeding breakfast to so many guests, found the time to use a map to direct us to some of the major attractions in the area. The hotel itself is so brand new and gorgeous, it's truly a hidden gem in Columbia Falls. Took our 10-year-old niece swimming in the pool--so sparkling clean! The hot tub was amazing as well--the brand new jets were so strong that they almost pushed my little niece off the seat! After an awesome weekend, it was sadly time to leave for home. We are planning to book our next stay at Cedar Creek Lodge in September, and can't wait to stay there again!!
Good, if typical, hotel. Not nearly so nice as their historic locations, but the staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. WiFi worked great and the pool was refreshing after a day spent driving through forest fire smoke. While not right outside Glacier National Park, it is between the entrance and Whitefish, where there are many good places to get dinner. This makes there location surprisingly good.
Here for a conference, didn't stay at the hotel. Nice size room for the meeting with bathrooms right outside the area. Has a separate entrance so you don't have to travel through the entire building. Large windows looking out to the parking lot.
