Convenient location, but staying inside the park would be more convenient and more value for the money. Good breakfast and some helpful tips and information about the park, hiking, etc.
We rented the "Little Bear" cabin at the Smoky Bear Ranch. It was exactly as advertised. The craftmanship is very nice, and the setup makes a lot of use of a relatively small space. It has that "little house" feel that's so popular these days. Of note, anyone not interested in a loft bedroom where you need to go up and down a ladder of stairs to get to the bathroom on the 1st floor might prefer their larger cabin, or their B&B. We loved having our own space (meaning not just a hotel room), and having a yard area where we could have a campfire and sit outside. One of the best things is having this type of setup so close to Glacier National Park! Scott and Nancy were good to work with and very accommodating. We were very pleased with our stay and would consider going there again if we're back in the area in the future. Glacier National Park is gorgeous, and this destination as one for getting away, getting out in nature, and doing some hiking definitely didn't disappoint.
Smoky Bear was the perfect place to stay to enjoy Glacier Nat'l Park. Our hosts, Nancy & Scott, were so helpful & accommodating. Peaceful & quiet & just the kind of place we were looking for. You can't go wrong!
We really enjoyed our visit. Our hosts we're very helpful, loaning us great maps and local tourist information. The breakfasts we're wonderful with lots of local favorites like homemade jams and maple syrup. A great, relaxing place. Don't miss the nearby rain forest, a very interesting surprise in Montana! Thanks!!!
We stayed in the bed and breakfast cabin. It was very homey and the breakfast was amazing. Scott and Nancy put together a different homemade breakfast every morning. They also have an assortment of teas and coffee out in the morning. Their property has a trail to the water. I was surprised to come home in the evening with fresh towels and the room cleaned up.
